Dump valve

Featured Replies

This is just a quick question from people who have done this but what does anyone think about having a dump valve on the 2010 fabia vrs? Does it sound good or even do anything?

I have a GFB DV+ on mine and you certainly feel the difference. Mine doesn’t make a noise though because it’s a diverter not a dump. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere dump valves aren’t good especially for the 1.4 tsi, you’re just asking for trouble.

Don’t waste your time buying a cheap dump valve because it will throw all sorts of faults up, buy a decent one and you won’t have any problems.

heres mine

Ah ok thank you. I’ve seen loads of these on eBay but just wanted a little bit more noise before I splash out on an exhaust. Have you got a video of yours?

Whatever you get do not get a FORGE one.

Maybe just go for the Marigold on the tail pipes and a Duck call.  That should get you noticed.

Take the insulation off the Supercharger if not already done, makes no power difference you might hear it more though.

There’s no point in me doing a video as it doesn’t make a noise or anything, it’s just holds boost for longer 😊, the ones that make noise waste boost hence the “tssssss”.

ive had mine on for about 5 months now and just come back from a 2,500 mile trip to Poland and back and it ran like an absolute dream! Even at 120k 😉

+1 for avoiding forge, a few people I know have tried these and have thrown faults up.

That product is amazing, as in if you fitted it and it didn't get on your wick after half an hour or less then you should probably be sectioned. Although I admit if there was a way to fit one to my brothers Dacia Duster I'd be unchaining my wallet.

Interesting, as I've just fitted a new turbo on my 2011 vrs combi, I was looking at the recerc valve and had heard about the plastic plunger cracking, having run modified auto subarus in the past and knowing autos don't like vent to atmosphere blow off valves, only seen forge set up £189 with wiring are these no good, I'm pretty sure mines been mapped and this mod you list looks well made, does factory unit just fit into rear of this part or do you have to remove bits from factory unit?
