Columbus and Bluetooth phone connecting issue

Hi 

We just collected our Karoq   ,one home i connecting the phone  Sony XA1   eventually it  was found and connected  , then the Columbus asked for access to Messages  that was ok  but it wont allow the contacts to download, ive tried connecting and disconnecting the phone ,forgetting the columbus  and re booting  but still nothing  and other ideas pleas as to what may be the issue,

Could be your phone not allowing access to your contacts

Sadly not, Columbus needs to ask for them but it isn’t  

I think that the problem is on phone because I found on Internet some pages for problems with pairing for that model.

It's also possible that phone's bluetooth don't implement PBAP.

 

You may check on the phone's bt connection with the HU if phonebook download is allowed.

i think I have it sussed, the contacts need to be saved to a SD card in vCard format, this is an Android foible,with some handsets  it’s a real pain  but .....
