Radio Code

Featured Replies

Hi

I have asked my local dealer for the radio code for my Bolero set having giving them the correct serial number.

However, they have come back and stated that there is no code for this model which I find hard to believe as you can look on the internet and find many websites that will provide one at cost.

The radio is working ok at present but would have liked a code for any future problems that may occur.

Does anyone else know if and how to obtain the radio code?

You dont need the code unless you try fitting it to another vehicle, the ECU will recognise it, it takes a minute or so though and during that time will be asking you for a code.

DO NOTHING especially trying all the numbers that may be written on the service book, you risk it locking out (ask me how I know 😧) but even after that it will come to life later and scare the pants off of you.

After battery removal etc be patient, do nothing and it will be recognised and work.

Thanks for the info.

WTF? Fabia III => MQB => no codes, just Components Protection mechanism
