dealer customer handling

Featured Replies

After 1 months ownership of a octavia, ( used vehicle) with several faults from collection day and still not resolved, where do we go now.

The dealership we bought from was Horners of Manchester, most of the deffects have been resolved by our local dealer in Morecambe, who I must say have been fantastic, supplying us with a loan car whilst they sorted out the problems left by Horners, (Brake master cylinder failure, (reported to sales man on road test), lack of power( air mass meter) and non playing cd player.

Yesterday, we went to manchester ( 140 miles round trip ) to have a new cd player fitted, not a big job by anyones standard, 45 mins later car still in the workshop, when i asked what the problem was they were having trouble finding a code for the new radio !!!!.

new radio's come with the code from skoda, it transpires they were fitting another one from a sales car, only they could not make it function ( no code ),

so eventually they gave me the replacement radio ( with no code ) and sent us on our way, saying they would contact me next week with a code if they could retreive it.

so does anyone have access to recovering a radio code that can help.

sorry about the length of this message

regards

kevin

They should have emailed Skoda with your vehcile details and a code off the stereo to obtain the security code, but it does take time and not possible to do at the weekend.

good old horners....

out of interest why didnt you buy a car from the local dealer?

Local dealer did'nt have a used car with low mileage, otherwise they would have got the sale.
