Airbag light octavia

Featured Replies

I have an Octavia mk2 1.9 tdi.  Airbag light is on  . I've snipped the cables under passenger seat and re connected up . Still the light won't clear . This is the code coming up

I did mine repeatedly before finding that the actual problem was a further connector under the seat squab.

One of the threads on here had photos of it, I only found it by touch and without removing the seat still have yet to see it however after pulling and pushing the two mating parts the fault code reset (it would not before) and has never returned since.

It had troubled me every few weeks and looking at the service file had cost previous owners thousands over the years, they were evn billed for replacing the airbag which had never been done and the fault codes continued.

Been fault light free for 9 months now touch wood.

Everywhere talks about the visible and somewhat exposed connectors but not the one tucked up in the seat squab foam.
