Bolero is crashing while Spotify Playback over Android Auto

Featured Replies

Hey,

recently I activated Smartlink at my local Skoda Dealer for my Skodca Octavia 3 (2016).

First I had some connection issues, but I could resolve this with a different cable.

Now I'm facing following issue:

When navigate with Google Maps and use Spotify for the music playback, my Bolero Infotainment systems crashes after 5-10 minutes and is rebooting.

This is only happen, if I use Spotify as music source. When use Google Maps over Android Auto and the Bolero system Radio everything works fine.

I already reinstalled the Android Auto app, but it is still crashing.

I could also figure out, that it it happens very frequently with the new Android Auto UI. If I switch back to the old version, it is more stable.

I think the problem is in the Bolero SW, because Bolero is rebooting and Android Auto on my smartphone is still running without errors.

Maybe a buffer overflow is the reason for the reboot.

Does anyone have a similar problem and maybe knows a solution for this?

Can someone provide me a software Update for my Bolero MIB2? Maybe this known bug and already fixed in a newer firmware version?

My Smartphone is a Pixel 2 XL with Android 10. Android Auto 4.7.593824

These are my Bolero system information:

Part number: 5Q0035842A

Hardware: H25

Software: 0245

Regards

Fese

I updated the Bolero SW to 0253, but the problem still occurs. I think this is already the newest Bolero version.
