Cannot find HDD

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've recently just bought a 2012 Fabia Mk ii Monte Carlo and when I press the media button on the stock radio, I get two options MDI and HDD. MDI is connected to a Parrott system (installed pre-purchase), and that works fine, but when I press HDD music tracks start playing.

I'm trying to find where the media is that hold these tracks. I have no CD or SD card inserted and there's nothing connected to the media port under the glove box, the USB cable in the compartment above the glove box, or the aux input next to the handbrake.

Any ideas where to look?

Thanks

They’re built into the unit itself.

Thanks LGB. So I'm assuming there'll be a way that I can wipe the current tracks? I wonder how they were put on there if it's built in?

Whenever you insert a CD or SD Card with music on you can copy that over onto the hard drive. Depending what hard drive it is usually it’s around 40gb. Im pretty sure you have to remove them one by one or per album.

Thanks! Makes sense now. I have managed to deleted each folder of tracks in turn, but cannot delete the last track as it still thnks it's playing. Maybe I have to play a CD or SD card first, to remove the 'lock' on the HDD track?
