Recommend me some wheel trims

Featured Replies

Wifes not loving the new look with the black winter wheels on.could anyone recommend some decent 16" trims in silver that fit ok on a 7j skoda wheel.need some asap its hurting my head 😃

Look for a set of genuine Skoda wheel trims, try Superskoda or Rainworth Skoda (that's where I got mine). Proper centre Skoda badge and high quality plastic and spring fitting system.

Worth the cost for OEM quality.

Had a quick look on Superskoda web site and a set of genuine 16" RIF wheel trims are 69.99 Euros.

I used these for 5 years and fitted perfectly with no hint of coming off even on the worst winter roads.

Looks good as well.

I quite like the purposeful look of the black steel wheels. Only drawback is the rusty centre projecting through from the hub. I would be happjust to cover that only.

The trims must stick out quite a long way to cover over the wheel dish and bolts. Aren’t they quite vulnerable to kerbing?

I'd imagine the fit anything ones would but genuine ones made for the car fit much better.
Remember that is all that mostly existed until about 30 years ago.

Incidentally if your wife is fussy and the Skoda RIF covers come with the old green centre logo it is cheap to buy some “black”  new design Skoda centres off eBay or Amazon from China. These are simple stick on covers and are best fitted with a dose of hot melt glue or contact adhesive to ensure longevity of sticking.

I had to (told to!) change from Green centres to latest black centres when we changed our original Yeti (2012) for a new one in 2017. I think the centres were about £6 from China and fitted using hot melt gun in minutes.

Mind you the new RIF covers might well come with the latest black centres anyway!!
