Front Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Anyone tried having fitted any OEM OPS front parking sensors from a reputable OEM retrofitter. Tried to get SKODA to fit FR sensors  but this was a disaster and just ended up getting them turn off as they seem to be cheap aftermarkets. Anyway had any better luck?

I have a Skoda Kodiaq Sportline

Briskoda don't like links to alternate Skoda community forums.

Type "kodiaqforums dealer fitted front parking sensors" into Google.

Here you'll see that main dealer have two options when it comes to retrofitting the front sensors.

A cheap OEM option (~£350), but one that doesn't properly integrate into the cars systems, and looks poor, or the factory solution (£800+) which for most people is cost prohibitive.

The reason you should check out the other source is because it is specifically about a SportLine and the schoolboy errors made by the dealer, so proceed with caution would be my advice.

Thanks for you help  Silver,

Would agree that this is the two options and option 1 (dealer) didn't work out for me similar to the post on "Kodiaqforums". I am now looking at option 2 which is expensive and have to weigh it up. I tried the link for OEM retrofitters but that didn't work so looking at VAGTEC if anyone has anything fitted by these guys.

I picked up my Kodiaq edition which didn't have front sensors.  While my local dealer couldn't fit proper ones, the dealer where I bought it (https://www.richmondmotorgroup.com/skoda/)  was able to fit original skoda sensors fully integrated with the system.  The  cost was between the two aforementioned options (out at moment so don't have documents to hand) - however given it wasn't too much more than oem I thought it was worth it.

Cheers

Hi rnc,

Thanks for posting, take it its not too sensitive, button is illuminated and is factory. Will give them a call to discuss. How long did it take them to fit it?

I do have a button on the dash and the system appears on the head unit showing both front/rear sensors. It didn't take them long (apparently - I arranged to pick the car up a week prior and they got it fitted one afternoon I _think_ ).

Thanks

Nick
