Hi, I'm coming back to the Skoda brigade after a few years in the VW camp. I do actually have an old account under the username scvrs, I just can't seem to logon anymore! Anyway, I've just ordered a brand new Black Magic Octavia SE L 1.5 Tsi, delivery will be January and I'm excited! It feels good to be heading back.

A warm welcome back to the Forum !  I have the 2017 model and so far no problems at all despite all the complaints about the 1.5TSI engine.

I've heard issues with the engine from some, fingers crossed mine is a good one like yours! The one I test drove yesterday was great, so fingers crossed!
