Yeti clutch paddle stuck to the bottom

Featured Replies

My 2014 Yeti's clutch paddle once pressed does not rebound. I pulled it back and could drive again. Has anyone faced this problem and found an easy DIY solution? Any guidance welcome.

Is the fluid reservoir cap blocked?
Has brake fluid been changed as per service schedule?
What engine is it?
I take it you mean clutch pedal.
Do you have 2 Yeti's, you mention a 2015 Yeti in your other post.

Read earlier post.

I had this problem. The dealer said change the fluid (no difference) then had to take the clutch out and change the centrifugal cylinder this used to be called the slave cylinder .This cured the problem . I was only charged for labour. This was about 2 years ago.

It's still called the slave cylinder in Yeti parts books.

I think it is called a "concentric slave cylinder"?

It is a 2*4 Diesel engine. I live in India. Last year too I had a problem and the Skoda dealer had changed the clutch plate assembly setting me back by US 2 k.

I do not understand cars but do not want to get ripped off by the company dealer for a minor problem. So I intend to get a local mechanic take a look and help me understand the problem. I will ask him to check the spring first and break oil, Urell, and then decide what to do next.

Thanks for any new inputs and advice.

Season's Greetings..

Err?? Skoda don't fit a 2.4 engine in a Yeti.

They fit 2 litre 4 cylinder diesel engines so maybe this is is what the OP has.  just a bit of a * typo.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. It is a 2 liter CRDI engine.

Hi Tushaar, if you need assistance with a good FNG mechanic for Skoda Cars, let me know. I can recommend one in Noida.
