Can't recognize type/model of DSG on my Skoda

Featured Replies

Dear Friends,

Can somebody give me a help with recognizing type/model of gear box...

2019 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI VRS DSG estate..., the only codes I have, are DJGA for engine and UAW for 7 speed gearbox...

Should be DQ 381 or DQ 500?

Trying to get spare filter and replace transmission fluid...

I've spoken to my dealer and asked about my one with no useful response I might add, mine is an my20 Hatch VRS Tdi DSG , my one is 4x4 as well and I'm pretty sure it's the DQ381 in my one, the 2 wheel drive is a DQ380 I think.

Cheers

Same story with my local dealer... They give only gearbox codes, not the model...

I assume you are familiar with all that is necessary to change the DSG fluid - not and easy job and requires special tools.  The fluid only needs changing every 40k miles so unless you are a very high mileage user it will be a long time before it needs doing and its likely someone else will come up with the required info long before you need to do it - or just get a dealer or VAG indy to do it for you.

Thanks... That's why I'm asking due to current 15K mileage... To be honest, much more familiar then local dealer... :)

You have the wet 7-speed so that's DQ380/1.

I believe the 381 is just a newer version of the 380 but I stand to be corrected on that.

Thanks... I'm also inclined to such an opinion...
