MIB 1 Amundsen to Columbus MIB 2.5

Featured Replies

Looking to upgrade the Amundsen MIB 1 set up on the wife's 2014 vRS. Is the Columbus MIB 2.5 (head unit and screen) a straight plug-in or are there a lot of configurations/codings to do? I have been quoted £1200.00 for the hardware and install but they want an additional £120.00 travelling which I thought was getting a bit greedy.  Grateful for some advice.

No MIB swap is ever plug and play, there is a lot of work that goes behind the scenes. £1320 fitted is a little over the going rate these days. There are better deals to be had. Fitting will include coding the unit to match the options up with the current radio so all the screens and menus are correct.

Thanks for the information. I have contacted another supplier to get a better price.

What happens if you just swap it ?

If i take the unit out, will that "compoment protection" appear on thr screen?
