Does a 2017 Octavia SE L 1.5 TSI come with Active Cruise Control, or is this an extra?

It’s optional, but Front Assist is standard. Retrofit is technically possible but involves so many hardware changes it’s not worth it. If you are in the buying market now, get a car that already has it. FL L&K’s come with it as standard as do SE Tech cars but they have considerably less spec and some of the nicer options aren’t available on them anyway.

As Sacha says the SE Tech looses things like the LED headlights, 17" wheels and alcantara seats, but does have adaptive cruise & front sensors which to my knowledge are also options on an SEL.

 

The SE Technology has masses over the SE, including nav, auto lights and wipers, dimming interior mirror, a reversable boot liner (carpet one side and rubber the other) as well as the adaptive cruise and front sensors.
