Featured Replies

Hi a bit of help please.

I have a Skoda Fabia HTP early 2008.

I am fitting an after market remote to the central locking I have 6 wires. Using the wires on the passenger door. The car has central locking.

Brown which I assume is Earth

Blue-Red

Blue-Red (yes identical)

Brown-Yellow

Yellow-Blue

Blue Purple

Having looked at the Haynes these are not the same colours as listed, importantly though the Haynes doesn't say what each wire does. A few videos on YouTube say that I need to have two (lock/unlock) wires switching to earth. But which two?

Blue / Red trace ( I know theres 2) explain below

Blue / Purple trace

The Blue / Red needed is the one in PIN 2 of the connector, or next to the Blue and Purple.

Yes brown is earth / ground, the others are .......

1 goes to door contact switch (open / close) Brown / yellow trace

Other Blue / Red trace goes into central unit, potentially a + 12v feed to the door latch

Last but not least is the Yellow / Blue trace which is the internal switches of the latch assy

Yes they are.....well spotted.

The larger one is 0.5  and that goes to the motor, the smaller one is 0.35 and goes to the convenience unit.
