Hi,

 

I've recently bought a DAB aerial for a third-party head unit, and the instructions (and advice from the company) are to earth the aerial onto the A-Pillar, this requires sanding away some of the paintwork to ensure it has contact with bare metal.

 

Is this normal when fitting a DAB aerial?

Presumably a windscreen stick on job?

Yes it's the norm, I've fitted two now the latest last week, they need an earth, usually a copper foil stick down tape.

Must say mine do the job perfectly.
