Hi all

just wondering if the oil pressure light should be on before starting the engine ?

Only noticed after I changed the oil and filter, ( brother started car 1st after oil and filter change) which afterwards I topped oil up.

It wasn’t until finished I knocked ignition on and noticed no oil light ( oil can) on dash even when I 1st knock it on before a lot of them go out. 

Is this normal as never really noticed before

When i checked no Yellow or Red Oil can showed with the Lights check.   Maybe someone can check again for you.

Cheers thanks for the reply, thought i was missing something or something wrong. 

1st time I’ve changed oil on it and would normally watch for light going out on 

1st start up afterwards.

Should have taken notice in the past to the dash lights
