EPC warning light and low fuel fault

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Has anyone had experience of the EPC warning light come on caused by a 'low fuel warning'?

I got this  explanation from the Skoda garage on my 2019 1.5TSI after they confirmed the fault code in the diagnostics.

(There is another thread on this forum stating the same fault being caused by poor fuel quality.
i.e. blocking the injectors and starving the engine of fuel. In that case the car owner is in Albania)

In my case it has happened 5 or 6 times in the last 9 months and only when the car starts in wet or really damp conditions.
If I switch the ignition off and back on again then the light goes off immediately. I have never seen it come on when the engine is running.

The garage did say to keep an eye on the situation and if occurs again they know which kit of parts to order

My thinking is that it is more likely to be an intermittent connection somewhere.

Any thoughts on this?
