Hi guys,

 

just wanted some some advice before I start buying these parts

 

1. Rear door seals - I’ve done the usual fix and carriers are not leaking. Confirmed after blasting the doors with the pressure washer. So new seals for the rear door I believe are needed. Is TPS my best bet or does anyone have any recommendations?

 I assume it will have the circuit board in it which should solve the issue?

I got my boot struts off ebay. They were pretty cheap ones but work perfectly.

The window switch doesn't have the circuit board in it, it's in the motor unit in the drivers door. The switch could still be faulty though as they are generally rubbish.

Right so I’ll order the switch. Knowing my luck it’s probably the motor but I’ll try the easy bit first lol 

Is your car a hatchback? And what year? I will look up the part numbers for the door rubbers if you want.

Yeah it’s a hatchback it’s an 06 plate if you could check that would be great I’ve had a look through zap7 but not sure I was looking at the right seals tbh lol

Rear ones should be 6Y6 867 367 C

 

Same both sides.

I got my rear hatch struts from Carparts4less, but it's worth looking on Euro car parts near the weekend as they often have decent discounts. With ECFP, you can order on line, get the discount/ pay  on line if you wish or pay /collect in store( assuming you have a store close by) and still get the discount . I think you will find that ( in most TPS places) unless you have some trade connection that TPS want you to go gt robbed at a stealer parts place.
