There was a remote control and it was working. Then he stopped working intermittently. And the remote control is completely dead.

A similar scenario with my mates central locking fob............the battery holder had come away from the mini pcb (circuit board) inside.

Battery holder not totally fallen off rather on one side of it the solder had split. He hadn't noticed it either.

Could be the issue with yours if it (or they) worked before you changed the batteries and didn't (or only intermittently) work after installing new batteries.

Or they may need resetting.

I re-soldered my mates for him........very fiddly though.

Everything seems normal. I will replace the batteries again.

@Imhotep_61 Just to confirm.....had your fobs (both) not been working for a while, so you changed the batteries, or..........

had they both? been working up until recently, and you changed the batteries as soon as???

If they both stopped working at same time this would suggest fault elsewhere and the fobs are most likely fine and will work if this other fault can be sorted.

Silly question (maybe?) but are the batteries inserted correctly?

The ones I mended were Vauxhall (Zafira) and the battery holder was soldered to the back of the pcb so different to yours.

Thank you

@Imhotep_61at@Imhotep_61at vcds try manually to connect to the central convenience controller. Just choose the (46) button and see if it can open the controller.

Problem solved. I replaced the (46) comfort module. The renkte key worked. I even coded with vcds. Only the red LED in the driver's door does not flash. I may have forgotten to plug it in.
