Just had a new clutch fitted and service on 1.4TSI and now found ESR not working and the electric window button has to be held over to wind window all the way down or up, when it used to go all the way down or up as per the manual.  Could the garage have re programmed the computer as the MFD seems different.  Any one with ideas please, 

Is it because the battery was disconnected and it needs a reset. You should be able to reset the window, check the manual. If you’ve spent money at a dealer, give them a call, they don’t want unhappy customers for simple fixes. 

To reset the window and folding mirrors.
Close the window that has lost the "one touch" release the switch then hold it up again for about 4 seconds.
The windows should now open and close on the one touch and mirrors fold when locking by continuing to hold the lock button for about 2 - 3 seconds.

As above but you might need to do all 4 windows. only takes a couple of minutes at the most.
