They are not the brightest.

In 2010 Fifth Gear tested their system which failed, so they get things right.

 

In 2015 the System might work.  Well where fitted. 

But some muppet seems not to have checked,..

 

 

Can't see the article as it doesn't like me having an ad blocker. Is it a Volvo only problem, or is the tech used by other brands?

VOLVO called out by a Danish Motoring Group, so a recall by Volvo. 

Others might possibly have the same or similar Software or Tech issues, and might well be looking now and re-testing their systems.

 

As with many things like Air Bags that failed it only comes out after failures, then some Motor Manufacturers act quicker than others, 

or as in the past do not act unless Countries Authorities make them.
