Has anyone gone to their insurance and told them they are only going to do 3/4 of the miles this year and what would be their new premium for doing much less miles I wonder ?

Maybe those using for Domestic, leisure and pleasure will do less miles for 3-6 months then pile on miles after lockdown if there is an after lockdown.

I sometime reduce the annual mileage at renewal on a vehicle that might get used less than previously and i find really it makes not much of a difference.

 

Maybe the insurance underwriters are paying out less on vehicle crashes and injuries but still have all the flood claims to make up for.

Those with Flood Damage still not back in their homes or properties and needing to self isolate someplace.

Whatever Admirals motives, I can't fault them. I've claimed from them before without issue, and by and large after some negotiation my premiums have either remained flat or reduced.

 

They're now sending me £50 while my cars sit idle on the drive.

One of my daughters has her car insured through Admiral and they are just giving £25 back whether you are using the car or not. I can only assume that as there are less vehicles on the roads, there are less accidents and less claims going in.
