SKoda Octavia MRK 2 TDI Vrs Exaust

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I wonder if any of you can help.My exhaust back box has collapsed due to corrosion and the middle exhaust section looks like its next so i need both really. I've been looking all over the internet but cannot locate replacements.I may have to go down the stainless steel route but i dont want a joyboy exhaust that makes my deaf.

I have never found it so hard to locate parts for a car before. Is there anyone which could help me or give me some advice please.

Thanks

Have a look at miltec - resonated would be all the benefits of a standard sounding exhaust with the piece of mind that it won’t rot!

The part numbers you need are readily available from Euro Car Parts...

Middle Section: 1K0253209BB

Rear Section: 1K0253609AL

Googling those part numbers reveals the straight twin tail pipes confirming the vRS fitment...

thanks mate been on europarts and they don't have it only can seem to find gaskets - no exhaust

They have the part numbers on there, Skoda part numbers and what look to be their own, so it might be worth giving them a ring.

Not many people fit their own exhausts so you might have more luck via a local motor factors.

To be honest, aftermarket exhausts never seem to last anywhere near as long as the originals, I'd be tempted to go OEM and pay the premium. Depends if the car is a keeper?

I would disagree, depends on what the materials be chosen and used.

There are in the market cheep metals not even galvanized (not to mention for inox stainless) up to decent stuff.

Don't think that the stainless steel (at least 304 and over) can last lesser than the OEMs.

May prove  to be pricey but I believe a lasting  for many many years.

By aftermarket I didn't mean bespoke / custom stainless steel systems. They're more expensive than OEM.

Here in the UK, if you go to a high street exhaust fitter and simply ask for a 'new exhaust' it'll be as cheap as they come. A couple of winters and it'll be well on its way to end-of-life.

I'm guessing in Greece you don't have the same winter weather as we do here in the UK?

Yes not that cold but dump and  rotted as living near sea and the town is a lot influenced ..

The same, many of fitters provide ready 'simple' straight - fitting kits but they don't last.

My opinion is to spend a little more and make not a high named one but a good mid quality which it will serve better.

even a custom ss exhaust should cost no more than 2/3rds of oem, last much longer, breathe better and look better, sound better

No brainer really especially if your only going cat back
