Hello, my 2006 VRS is making a flapping noise when cruising at exactly 60mph. It goes away if I go any faster or slower. I’ve checked around the wheel arch and all trim feels secure. Any ideas what it could be?

I should also mention that it’s coming from the front of the car at the near side. When I had the car up there was about an inch of play in the ns driveshaft. I know this is what’s causing a clunk at very low speed but is there a way it could be the cause of the other noise?

Until you take the play out of the drive shaft, you won't know. Obviously needs sorting.
