Bluetooth upgrade

Featured Replies

I recently bought one of these and it is brilliant.

Plug into the cd changer port, earth black lead to radio chassis and pair with device.

You can even transfer over the aux port wires and keep it in use.

Comes with English instructions too.

Sound is crystal clear, beats any of the cigar lighter units.

A cd changer is an add on to a car stereo, a box holding between 4 &10 CDs fitted usually in the glove box or boot.

CDs are selected from a menu on the stereo.

With the advent of MP3 compatible stereos they have fallen out of use but many stereos still support them.

I found this on eBay while looking for a Skoda Bluetooth unit and saw it as a cheaper and easier solution.

What Stereo do you have?? is it the Swing??

Hi Simon,

I have the swing stereo, if you are considering one of the units you need torx bits to fit the earth cable, I am awaiting my new set as the screws on the stereo are a size that I didn't have a bit for and currently have the ring fitted wedged where the plug fits into the stereo.

Hiya, I've got a Torx (multi-bit set) and loads of Spade, Ring and Fork connectors that I can crimp on in place!

I was hit by Murphy's law, the one torx bit I needed was the one I didn't have, so I decided to invest in a new set.

I'd be dead interested on hearing how you got on with the Bluetooth unit.
