Front bumper lower fog grills

Featured Replies

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has taken these out and drilled out the honeycombe bits. I have bought the honeycombe grill but was wondering if it would look better all together with these drilled and mashed also.

In my opinion it would look like someone's got the drill out and made a mess of the front of the car. Do you mean meshed, rather than mashed? If so this would add to said mess.

However, I do share your frustration with the fake lower vents we have as standard.

I would have thought if you cut out the diamonds and do a good job and yes meshed same as front main grill would look pretty smart. But that's my opinion.

It could look good if done well and appeared to be factory. Would the cutting method for the hexagons leave it neat enough. Dremmel? Also the parking sensor is in one of the hexagons if you have them.

I thought you meant the aluminium mesh type! Not sure what you mean adding mesh like the main grille, it's just vertical slats isn't it?

have you looked whats behind them.... if you did you wouldnt be asking

Yes it is but have bought the honeycomb grill. On another forum it mentions about putting mesh behind as holes are quite big. Have noticed on bottom grill that my radiator is dented like anything as the grill is honeycomb but massive holes so stones can easily get through. Yes dremel would probably cut near enough I would have thought but depends what's behind them.
