Shortly to become a Skoda owner - picking up my Kodiaq in a couple of days. Well, not literally - I don’t think my creaking back would cope,  but you get the idea.

That’s it! 15 years, and 120,000 miles. I can’t afford to run two vehicles, so my faithful Surf has finally had to be moved along.

 

Yes, it was as steep as it looks, and was marked on the Michelin map as being a metalled road...

I hope you're not expecting the Kodiak to be as capable off road as your old motor. Should be a nice step up in terms of comfort, equipment, handling and economy though

That’s the plan! 
I don’t think it will be going anywhere near anything muddy for a while...

The Surf was great at getting places where a sane person wouldn’t take a vehicle, even towing a trailer, but economy was never a strong point.
