Slave cylinder

Featured Replies

Hi guys I’m new to this so don’t know if there’s a thread on it. This morning my clutch just gave way, presses in and it won’t release and it’s not going into gear, there’s fluid everywhere! Ordered this

hoping it’s the right one as there seem to be two but the other seems to be for a five speed box!

just looking for advice, does the gearbox need to come out for it to be changed? Or is it a relatively easy fix?

cheers in advance

Yes, unfortunately the gearbox has to come off to replace the slave. Are you sure the fluid is not from the pipework or other fittings on the outside of the box?

I’m honestly not sure. There’s fluid everywhere but I can’t get under the car to look. I’ll try and get some ramps later and have a look

Yeah, have a good check.
