Fabia K1 2004 oil

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm a happy owner of a 2004 MK1 Skoda Fabia Hatchback (6Y2) 1.4 16V Benzine (75 PK) and I would like to do a oil/filter change but I'm not sure which oil type I should buy (I live in the Netherlands). When I bought the car it didn't come with the the booklets. However, some info is printed on a sheet of paper. So far I know that the oil should meet VW 500.00/502.00 specs, but what's not clear to me is, should it be fully/partially synthetic, and the exact type.

Thanks

5w40 full synthetic on my BBZ. As long as it meets those requirements I use whatever is cheapest (but still reputable brands). 5w30 is suitable too.

Thank you juanse_2691. I have decided I will go with CASTROL Magnatec, C3 Motorolie 5W-40, 4L, Full syntethic. According to autodoc, it meets the required specs (article number 14F9CF)

Kareem
