Just looking at the Brochure for the new Octavia as I'm interested in the Scout.

 

The standard 150PS DSG Diesel is listed as having WTLP emissions of up to 141g/km but it says the emissions are to "RDE Step 1". Does that mean the engine is RDE1 compliant but not RDE2?

 

If so that would mean being stung by a first years tax of £540 instead of £215!

RDE step1 = RDE1.

 

As for what he first year tax is, depending on the emissions and value of the car I have seen some significant numbers.
