Hi, I bought a 2009 Octavia mk2 6 months ago and I just noticed today that the  undertray  cover under front of car in front of front wheels is missing bolts that attached it at the rear. It is bolted at the side and the front fine. Does anyone know if I can get replacement bolts for the rear ? I searched on ebay and there are some  listing that look like they might be the ticket like https://www.ebay.co.uk/c/1088580829 . Can anyone recommend what I need?

Have a good look and make sure that the heads have not sheared off leaving the threaded shank seized in the aluminium cross member, if the vehicle has only been serviced from above using a vacuum pump then they will probably have sheared the first time someone tried to remove them.

I can feel the holes where it looks like the bolts go into from underneath.

Anything particular I should be checking for?

I got 3 new ones from the dealer. They are not expensive.

Anything that fits will do IIrc.

I used fat stubby kitchen hinge bolt / screws on the front of mine, attaching it to the bumper.......

Thanks all. Apparently it is common that the rear bolts are sheared off in the subframe, so will check this first.

IIRC it's an M6x10.  I just used a standard hex head with washers out of my "these might come in handy one day" can of fasteners.

 

that ebay listing doesn't look right

Bought a set from Horton Skoda. 6 bolts arrived 3 wider and 3 slightly narrower ones that fitted fine.
