single-press hatch opening via key fob

Featured Replies

any way to enable boot opening without having to hold down the button on key fob ?

Is there not a rubberised pad under the tailgate somewhere? Most vehicles with one will sort of be hidden from veiw. Some cars have the boot logo swivel to open/reveal the pop mechanism.  Some cars have a tailgate pop on the inside of the cabin, either on the door panel or next to the drivers seat, etc.

Perhaps a look in the owners manual will help to locate a boot opening switch.

I also saw a post somewhere, where you swing your foot under the bumper, to activate a remote boot opening action. You then have to step back to allow it to open fully without getting a smack in the cake-hole!

The button down by your leg on the door when inside, the rubber button as above in-between the number plate lights and waving your foot under the bumper all open the powered rear door.

It’s not like you have to press the button on the remote for that long?

It has to be a (slightly) long press, because a short press just unlocks the tailgate; then, with the longer press, it rises.

Yeah, I know that, but it’s not like you have to hold down the button for ages as the OP suggests.

I was agreeing with you, and assuming that the OP might not know that.

How else do you want to open it? I'm not sure Skoda could make it much easier if they tried, in fact those that wake up in the morning and discover their boot open might argue it is already too easy to open the boot?

- Button on the key fob...

- Button on the tailgate...

- Button on the drivers door...

- Virtual pedal.
