Fabia 1.9 PD P2100 Error Code

Featured Replies

Hi

This Fabia I have bought is starting to become a nightmare. I absolutely love the car because of its practicality and great fuel economy.

Over the last week I have noticed when I'm at a set of lights in neutral with the foot on the brake I can feel some juddering in the cabin. Not sure if it's felt in the passenger seat as I normally run the dog out in it first thing on my own, I usually think meh it's an old diesel and the PD engine is a bit noisy.

I have come to start it this afternoon and it's throwing an "Exhaust Workshop" error on the dash with the defacto orange EML.. NOOOOOO! Turning the car of and starting it back up again doesn't clear it... Shock haha!

When I have scanned it with my trusty code reader (you have to love Aldi Special buys) it's throwing the error code P2100 throttle actuator control motor circuit open.

I have done some reading online on various websites and forums but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what is the cause of this.  Some say it's the fuse but some say that the valve in the control module gets stuck and needs replacing.

If anyone has any advice or has previously experienced this same issue I would really appreciate any pointers

Cheers

I wonder if your ASV flap is jammed causing the juddering and the fault code.

Throttle valve stuck / jammed.
