Karoq drive mode change up to fast

Featured Replies

Hi peeps,

My 69 plate karoq 1.6 tdi DSG changes up through the gears very rapid, at 21mph it's in 4th but the revs are not enough so the engine labours and the gearbox will not change down? I have to select manual to change down and then slip it back into auto. Any ideas what maybe wrong? I have tried the different drive modes but it makes no difference. I don't want to be driving in manual all the time otherwise no point buying an auto. thank you in advance

Doesn't sound like it is working correctly. My experience with DSG in previous Yeti and current new Karoq, is the opposite, and I often wonder why it holds onto low gears longer than I would.

Sounds like a trip to the dealers is needed, which should be covered by your warranty?

Sounds like your in sports mode.

Sounds like how many a 69 plate 1.6TDI & DQ200 DSG that Skoda had to get the required WLTP / RDE results on and why they are discontinuing them.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your replies. I have checked that its set to normal mode (well tried all but makes no difference) so i keep it in normal. As ken says book it in with the dealers for a check up, it's a 69 plate so the warranty should cover it.
