Oil capacity

Featured Replies

Good evening, does anyone know how much oil the new skoda superb fl 2.0 tdi needs?I made my first change with the filter and it took 5.5lt.After 5000km i had an oil indicator and filled up 0.7lt more. Is this normal? Someone told me is 6lt when you change and the filter

I have not done an oil change myself, but the main dealer charged me for 4.5 litres of oil during the annual service last week which included a filter change.

What does the level show if you check it using the the dipstick?

Did you start the engine to fill the filter housing before you checked your oil level when you serviced it?
If not, that would have dropped your level once you did.

I don't know what they have done, i went to the dealer to service the car. The problem is that i can not find anywhere the oil capacity. The owners manual does not write something.

Ah, Ok. I thought you had carried out the service yourself. If you use some of the oil checker sites like Castrol, it will give you an exact amount for service or dry fills.

@nofear26 It looks like your dealer isn't fair.

I've done the oil (incl. oil filter) change myself few weeks ago. 4.5l were enough for my 2.0TDI190.

If you want the exact value from the workshop manual, you can download all of them from cardiagn.com ;) .

According to Castrol’s website:

Service fill: 4.7L

Dry fill: 5.3L

Although I must admit I stuck 5L in mine when I serviced it. 😳

The dip stick isn’t the easiest one to read.

Same values found in Skoda Maintenance manual on cardiagn.com. ;)
