Some help with xenon bulbs

Featured Replies

All,

I’d appreciate some help/views.

I have today gone to change my bulbs from the originals to some upgraded osram D1S for what should be an easy job.

However once the black disc is put on the new bulbs it’s a tight fit to get it closed and then when I try and put the bulb back in the only way it seems to fit leave the bulb on the wonk so the little silver connector is no longer at the bottom but has moved.

Have I done something glaringly obviously stupid or is this how aftermarket bulbs fit? I would have thought if the silver connector was at the bottom prior to taking them out it would need to go back to that position??

is there a need to trim the little nodges

off the black disc to ensure a perfect fit to the bulb?

Id appreciate some advice the photo shows the only way I can seem to get them to fit but surely that would give an odd light pattern?
