Skoda swamp

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am one of the (seemingly many) mk. 3 Octavia owners that have a water leak causing a fairly large amount of water to pool in the driver side footwell (after rain).

I have read just about every forum post there is and tried a few things including...

-plenum drains cleared (confirmed by local garage)

-wheel arch trim leaf debris cleared

-updated door seals fitted to allow doors to drain

-lifted the carpet partially to expose the A/C condenser pipe - no major leaks spotted

I am really struggling... The only thing I have seen is some green algae growing in the hinge area of the driver's door, indicating it's quite damp (not present on the passenger side). Anyone had any leaks into the cabin via holes in the hinge area (wiring loom etc..)

P.s. it's a Scout but can't see how that makes a difference!

Thanks
