Nice little scratch on the bumper by old driver :-/

Featured Replies

I managed to swerve out as I saw her out of the corner of my eye but still resulted in a scrape bad enough to gor right through the paint on the nearside rear bumper :-(

You will be old one day!

Most of that looks like it will compound out, its the price we all pay for having stupid painted plastic things not worthy of the title "bumper"

Aye, old I may be, but I won't be driving out in front of people on a roundabout hopefully.

As for compounding out, will that also replace the missing paint?

Had similar paint damage on my rear bumper, plus that reflector was cracked, caused by an even older codger than myself reversing into me at the  Chunnel.

Bought a new reflector for £8 and took it to a local one man band paintshop. He rubbed it down and resprayed it, plus he fitted the reflector for £169, which I thought was very reasonable. The guy who caused the damage paid for the repair from his own pocket.

I imagine someone like Dent Devils would fix your for a reasonable cost.

I wont bother answering a question that you already know the answer to, perhaps you did not see the word "most"

The paint looks to be removed only at the exposed corner & would be an easy touch in.

No, I saw the most, but most of a fix isn't good enough for me.

Bumps, scratches, dings.

I used to stress about them, but nowdays I just accept that they are part of the car owning experience.

I am still annoyed about the muppet who dinged my car in the hospital car park and drove off (but less so..... ;) )

All my recent vehicles have come pre-dinged for my convenience, a bit like the pre-rotted fruit & veg that I buy :D

Every ding on the Yeti could be repaired by PDR but collectively the cost would be eye watering and then I would get stressed by the next one that comes my way from other parkers.
