Rear Disc Help

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I was changing the rear discs and pads on my 2005 Fabia VRS, and the new discs I bought from ECP (using the reg plate feature online) look to be wrong. Am I going mad? Or do I need another type of disc?

ECP have looked up some new discs and they are £130! which seems steep. So I'm wondering what other options I have, just don't want to buy the wrong ones again.

Cheers

You know you are going mad or dreaming the day that you get the correct parts first time, or second or even 3rd time from ECP

Take the old ones in with you and match them up.

Were the new ones different to what you took off the car then?

Thanks, AG Falco

Measure the diameter of the new discs supplied, if they are 232mm they are the standard vRS solid rear disc.

The discs that came off - are they 256mm diameter and ventilated? If so you've got the Octavia vRS rear brakes fitted by someone at some point. The caliper carrier looks wide enough for a vented disc tbh.
