Direct TPMS retrofit onto skoda superb FL

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I wanted to know if someone allready made this modification on his Octavia MK2 or Superb MK2 ?

I have already the basic TPMS which use the ABS sensors to determine if one wheel lost pressure but i saw on vw forums (especially this one : https://t6forum.com/threads/direct-tpms-retrofit.16104/) that it could be possible to retrofit the "high version" in a T6 vw or more interesting on a passat B7 which share the same platform as the superb (PQ35).

I searched online but didn't find the information of where i should plug the CAN Hi and CAN Low signal into the BCM or the CAN Gateway module. Apparently on PQ25 platform the wire goes directly to the BCM (J519 --> J533 on PQ35 platform) in position T73b/18 and T73b/19.

If someone has the wiring diagram of the BCM of skoda superb MK2 it'll help a lot! And hope this will interest someone also ^^

Regards :)

The direct TPMS module should connect to the CAN gateway, if I remember correctly, it's pin 7 (low?) and pin 17 (high?).

Pretty sure you need to make sure your CAN gateway supports the "extended CAN-bus". If it doesn't, those pins probably might not be there.

Thank's mate for your really quick answer!

I suppose it does because i've already retrofit the HBA (high beam assist) and it's fully operationnal. Do you confirm ?

Pretty sure HBA (address 20) connects to the "drive CAN-bus" which are pins 6 and 16.

Post an autoscan to confirm the CAN-gateway version :)

I followed this tutorial made by a member of the forum.

I do the same wiring loom and connect the Can Hi and Low at the same connector as him, not directly to the can gateway module.

I'll make a scan and post it soon :)

Ok thank so if i understand well i need to swap my gateway with one with HH56 with Ref 7N0 907 530 BL am i correct ?

Any H56 gateway should be fine:

- 7N0 907 530 AN

- 7N0 907 530 AS

- 7N0 907 530 BC

- 7N0 907 530 BG

- 7N0 907 530 BL

- 7N0 907 530 BQ

They all have identical hardware so the software version isn't super important. I used a AN rev which I flashed to BL.

Ok because i found one with the ref 7N0 907 530 AN but how do you upgrade the software of the gateway to go to BL with sf version 1682 ?

I used ODIS to flash. Flash files and fatigue detection datasets can be found here: https://www.drive2.ru/l/8674505/

Video of a similar procedure:

Thanks, but this procedure seems to be a bit tricky no ?

Unfortunately I didn't have ODIS software :(

I think i'm going to find a gateway module with ref 7N0 907 530 BL but will i need ODIS to activate fatigue detection anyway ?
