Has anyone  fitted spotlights to their Octavia,  and how would  it be achieved 

There are threads in various forums in Briskoda on members fitting LED Lightbars which make sense as they can be discrete if you want that and work very well.

Maybe using a quality Registration Plate mount and LED Light Bar or 2.

You have Halogen or Xenon / LED lights? If it's the latter, then there's fun involved - the easiest (!) method involves reprogramming the BCM to get one output to work as the trigger.
