Hi everyone ,

 

Just bought a 230000 mile ocatvia 1.9 , few questions , I am not sure what BHP it is !! Its saying it could be a 105 or 148 bhp , how do I know ? I got a second hand turbo for is which needs fitting, it also looking like the flywheel is past its best  its going to be a work hack so needs doing as cheap as possible , any suggestions ?

Early 2.0 litre diesels had 138 or 168bhp so yours is 105bhp.:thumbup:

Thats whats has confused me when I did the hpi check !

The torque figure is the clue as the 148bhp diesel in my 2013 Mk3 Octavia produced 236lb/ft much much more than the old 1.9 litre.

Thanks , would you go for the smf? I'm not doing it myself ,my 67 skoda is our main car so trying to keep spend down . But if it causes issues  I will get the dmf

whats the engine code on the service book / wheel well sticker? thats your answer... unless its been mapped; the engine code is the engine spec.
