KESSY

Featured Replies

HI folks I have checked user manual and online but no definitive answer found as to whether the new keys for our mk4 Octavias and mk8 `golfs etc have the "sleep" function. My last car which was a Ford had this to prevent the signal being looped by car thieves. I have disabled KESSY until I can confirm this one way or another

Anyone know anything definitive?

Thanks

Hi,

When the dealer was handing over the car to me a couple of weeks ago he said that the key will emmit the signal only if it is moving. If no movement is sensed for 40sec it will sleep. Nothing in the manual though.

Thanks, I will test mine soon to make sure and if that’s the case reactivate KESSY

yes my dealer also told me the same and i tested this..... seems to be correct

If you don't like Kessy, you can disable it each locking cycle or you can permanently disable it.
