No ignition

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a 2017 Fabia 3 which has developed a fault. I have no ignition (lights) and I can't start the car in any way. They key opens the car on the button, and interior lights are on. Turn the key and nothing. Any suggestions please.

Welcome.

First guess is a flat battery.  Enough to open door and have interior light on but not to start the car.

Battery is good. Had it on a meter.

Fuse or ignition relay?

Check the fuse diagram in the owners manual and give all the relays you can see a jiggle.

Failing that you'll probably need a wiring diagram.

I saw something on here  about ECU connector/pins to do with immobilizer but now can't find it. I'm sure I would have ignition lights even if it was immobilizer problem. Tried all fuses and relays and all fine. Looked at wiring in steering column too!

Happened to mine a bit ago and it was a problem with the key. I had two and just switched to using the other one. Might be worth a try.
