Xenons

Featured Replies

Managed to bag some oem xenon headlights and ordered the kufatec wiring adapter harness.

Do I need to do any coding?

Yes it'll need coding.

You also need to add a AFS range control module and level sensors :) You should also fit headlight washers if you don't already have them.

Am I right in thinking that they will work until I get around to fitting all the other parts?

Will they just plug and play for now?

Well, they should turn on with a bulb warning if that's what you mean?

They won't self-level so will cause dazzle for other road users though ;)

Ahh, so the they won't work off the leveling switch that is fitted as std?

I just thought that I might get away with a semi conversion for now till it warms up a bit.

Nope, the standard headlight range dial won't do anything with factory xenons...

The kufatec adaptor loom turned up but didn't fit, upon investigation the pins on the xenon headlights was hitting the plug of the adaptor.

Emailed kufatec who assured me it was the correct loom.

Had a look again today and not a chance, just went out to the car and they connected without a harness. All working, just need to source all the other parts now.
