Im thinking the clutch pedal sensor switch might be at fault?

Would this affect the stop start function?

If that is the case you should get a message to " press clutch " when the key is in the start position.

Can you hear a click from the starter relay when the key is turned to start & clutch depressed ?

If not, suggest the ignition switch is intermittent.

just tried it and it was fine, then i held the key over and pushed the clutch pedal down, it fired up with a good 1.5" of travel left

i noticed yesterday the stop/start didnt operate on the short outing, today it did but car got proper warmed up

6am, fired up on the button, 8am, hesitated on the startet position

I remembered its done this before

I feel a new ignition switch might be a good idea, looks easy to do too (and a starter relay)
