Component protection

Featured Replies

I bought an amundsen mib 1 unit and a columbus screen, according to the seller, it was unlocked, however I came across the picture message. Someone can help me?

Component Protection can only be cleared by either a VAG dealer or an independent garage which has paid for FAZIT access (online access to the VAG servers to confirm that the item is not listed as stolen).

Of course there are people that can hack the firmware...

Is it possible at all to use columbus screen on amundsen mib1 at all? I heard it won't work due to display resolution issues.

I have an amundsen mib1 head unit which the screen is dying (dead pixels on the screen). If I can replace the original screen with columbus screen it would be great. Is it possible at all?
