I have removed the bolt and tried wiggling the wiper out, is there some technique to this I don't want to break anything, it's pretty tight in there?

 

 

Search the tube for various removal methods if you don't have a suitable puller.

I used a puller, but make sure you use one with long fingers, otherwise you just pull the plastic arm off the taper insert (like I did). Then I had to araldite the taper insert back in.

Tried different pliers but only a puller could grip under the three plastic notches on my Superb II. Since the water comes up in the middle through it´s spraying nozzle, the middle of the puller needs to push against the fastening bolt witch you had to unscrew to not harm the nozzle in it´s middle section. After setting the puller slightly on tension (to not harm the plastic notches underneath), you move the arm up and down until the bang when it´s loosening. Then tape the hole in the glass if you expect rain during the repair period.
