VCDS Rod file missing (SK37)

Featured Replies

just done an autoscan and noticed that VCDS has stopped showing a few things. Error Missing Rod file. Would have thought a mk3 octy would still be listed in the updates.

Ive re installed and also installed to a different location to check that its not an install error.

Has anyone got any ideas (or a copy of the ROD files needed)?

Thanks

Have you contacted Rosstech?

21.03 should work fine with a MK3 Octavia.

Ive just joined their forum. So i could raise a ticket. Ive also just tried my original install (17). This was missing them also.

hi, i have contacted Ross-Tech and "apparently" my cable is a fake. Probably so as it cost me about £80, but it has always done everything else in the past. They say if i buy a genuine cable this will correct the problem. (I doubt it as i checked ROD folder from the install and there is no file that it is looking for).

Any Ideas?

Maybe find someone local with a genuine cable and see if that works?

If it does, consider buying a genuine one
